It doesn’t matter if you know anything about financial statements or accounting (although it doesn’t hurt)…

What’s most important is you understand what the job is really about. And once you do, the job itself and the interview and the direction you (yes YOU) can lead it, is most important.

Remember, the goal is not to become a credit analyst for the interview, it’s to get the job

Credit Analyst assess the credit worthiness of a borrower. What does this mean?

It means, you need to figure out if the company/person/entity that wants to borrow money is worth allowing to borrow.

You may not directly be lending to them but you are a part of the process.

Just like allowing someone you know to borrow something. If they never give you things back, should you let them borrow your stuff?

Same goes with cash/money/loans/margin/exposure.

In the credit world, cash is king.
